The Poulenc Trio returns to Dumbarton Oaks in Georgetown, Washington, DC for a two-night concert series, the first on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 7:00 PM. The concert is entitled “Celebration: Rossini, Poulenc, the Duke, and Beyond.” The program explores how diverse composers uplift the human spirit through their works. The highlight of the evening is the Washington, DC, premiere of the whimsical Explain Yourself!, composed for the trio by Dumbarton Oaks 2020 Musician-in-Residence, Viet Cuong.
